WHO IS THIS BOOTCAMP FOR?<\/p>\n

\u2022 EMERGING PRODUCERS with SOME EXPERIENCE\/TRAINING – this is a great course to level up your skills<\/p>\n

\u2022 Those with NO EXPERIENCE are welcome but you will need to prepare using our digital course (see below).<\/p>\n

\nLast year\u00a0FilmPEI\u00a0ran a zoom version of the\u00a0Intro to Producing<\/strong>\u00a0program led by industry producer Walter Forsyth. This 16 hour entry level program gives participants a deep understanding of producing from building a pitch to taking a project to market. The the intention of this program is to train more PEI producers to support the creation of local content. <\/p>\n

With the new\u00a0PEI Film Production Fund\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0now in place, \u00a0the PEI film sector is buzzing with opportunity! In order to accelerate the development of local producers we are offering the\u00a0\u00a0Intro to Producing<\/strong>\u00a0program again but this time participants will watch the EIGHT recorded videos of last year\u2019s program. and then\u00a0 the instructor Walter Forsyth will run a weekend\u00a0Intro to Producing Bootcamp\u00a0<\/strong>that will recap the digital program and offer new content.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how it works:<\/p>\n

Step 1: Send\u00a0info@filmpei.com<\/a>\u00a0an email telling us you are interested.<\/p>\n

Step 2: We will send you a password for the\u00a0<\/strong>video links. Sixteen (16) hours of the original program are recorded via zoom. These are the raw zoom files but they give you the information you will need for the next step.<\/p>\n

Step 3:\u00a0 September 10 to 12, 2021 (Friday to Sunday), instructor Walter Forsyth will be running\u00a0Intro to Producing Bootcamp<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>in person at\u00a0FilmPEI\u00a0in Charlottetown. Over 2.5 days (15 hours of instruction) Walter will do a quick review of the material from the videos and then move on to more detailed information.<\/p>\n
