\u201cI Made A Film\u201d YOUTH FILM CHALLENGE<\/a>\u00a0was a\u00a0part of the 2014 Island Media Arts Festival (IMAF2014) programming lineup. IMAC, IMAF2014 and the City of Charlottetown wanted to encourage the next generation of Island filmmakers to show what they can do!<\/p>\n

Youth between 9 and 18 were awarded cash prizes of $100 each for the English and French language categories. The theme\u00a0was\u00a0\u201cHow I See It\u201d. Films could\u00a0be in anything from comedy to stop motion to horror to fan film. Youth could\u00a0shoot on any kind of camera and any length, even a 6 second micro film using the Vine app.<\/p>\n

The winners and other selected entries were\u00a0screened in Charlottetown on Nov 22 and the teens were awarded their prizes. It was a real treat for them and their parents to see all their\u00a0stories\u00a0presented on a big screen. We were all very impressed at the caliber of the work.<\/p>\n
