\"BJ<\/a>IMAC is happy to announce our newest artist in residence Betty-Jo (B.J.) McCarville. \u00a0B.J. will be with us until late August creating animated awesomeness for her installation.\u00a0Ferryman\u00a0<\/em>is stop\u2013animation video installation featuring an old wooden rowboat in the projection of a surreal river. The installation will combine audio, light, and moving images that evoke a conceptual journey into island culture, celestial navigation, and the mythology of the sea. The video projection will be a combination of film and animation creating the illusion of flowing water.<\/p>\n

Betty-Jo (B.J.) McCarville is a multi-discipline artist from Charlottetown, PEI. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts at Concordia University in the fall of 2010 with a shared concentration in oil painting and installation. Her artwork focuses generally on light, time, place and narrative.
